Binh Dinh has stood out on the tourism map with its stunning coastal roads, unspoiled beaches, and peaceful fishing villages.
These coastal routes are vital for transport and have become magnets for adventure lovers.
National Highway 1D, a dreamy coastal route connecting Binh Dinh and Phu Yen province, stretches about 33 km, over half of which lies within Binh Dinh.
Dubbed one of the most beautiful coastal roads in central Vietnam, this route hugs the shoreline and winds through gentle hills covered in lush green forest.
On both sides of the road, nature unfolds with unspoiled beaches like Dai, Xep, and Bau beaches. This area has served as the backdrop for many famous films and offers ideal spots to catch the sunrise or unwind to the rhythm of ocean waves.
Provincial road DT 639, also known as the "trillion-dollar road", is a standout with a total length of 115 km. It connects Quy Nhon to Hoai Nhon town, forming a key coastal transport artery.
As one of the largest infrastructure projects in the South-Central coast with a total investment of 346 million USD, this route plays a strategic role in transport and trade and paves the way for robust coastal tourism.
Landmarks along the DT 639 route include Cai Hai, De Gi, Vung Boi beach, and Ong Nui pagoda. These places still retain a rare, untouched tranquility.
Right in the heart of Quy Nhon city lies Xuan Dieu street, a ribbon of road that gently embraces the seaside city.
Though shorter than other coastal roads, Xuan Dieu street has a charm all its own. With a beach stretching along the entire street, it’s ideal for sunset strolls or enjoying fresh seafood at beachside restaurants.
By day, Xuan Dieu is peaceful and calm. By night, it transforms into a lively tourist street lit up with lights.
The mountain-cut coastal road to Ky Co-Eo Gio in Nhon Ly fishing village, Quy Nhon city is wild and captivating. It leads to islands famous for their crystal-clear waters, colorful coral reefs, and unique rock formations.
From above, the road offers breathtaking views with pine forests rustling on one side, while the vast ocean merges with the sky ahead.
The Trung Luong-Cat Tien coastal road in Phu Cat district features dramatic natural scenery and is now known as a “camping paradise” for young travelers. The road winds around the Ba mountain range and opens to the sea and strange stacked rock formations.
A stunning blend of mountains, forests, and sea.
The highlight on Binh Dinh’s coastal route is the 400-meter-long De Gi sea-crossing bridge which was inaugurated in early 2023.
The bridge shortens the travel time between Cat Khanh commune in Phu Cat district and My Thanh commune in Phu My district from nearly an hour to just a few minutes.
The coastal route around Quy Nhon-Tam Quan beach runs through Vinh Hoi hamlet in Phu Cat district.
The road cuts through ancient forests and limestone mountains.
Lo Dieu coastal road is enclosed on one side by mountains and the other by the sea. The aquamarine water is ideal for swimming, kayaking, or fishing. The serene yet magnetic beauty leaves visitors yearning to return.
